Temperature

Fatigue strength is affected at relatively low temperatures, the reduction starts around the boiling temperature for water 110 degrees C according to IIW, international Institute of Welding.

Note also that temperatures can affect the steel also in other ways. Special steel grades more suitable for high temperatures are available from the steel suppliers.
